My Time CIC became a client of Roots HR CIC in February 2012 to support their growth plans, initially subscribing to our people management and advice service, COMPLY, and since then also utilising our project management service, PERFORM, on a number of business-critical projects. They left us at the end of May because of the successful integration of My Time into the Richmond Fellowship, where they will be able to access HR support internally.
My Time have used their COMPLY subscription for a wide variety of HR support including day to day reactive people management queries, policy reviews, sickness absence, performance management and a number of complex employee matters. Roots HR added significant value to MyTime in 2013 by working close with them on a potential TUPE transfer that carried significant risk to the organisation; through the advice and expertise provided by Roots HR, My Time avoided entering into a contract which exposed them to liability for dismissal of a transferring workforce and extensive restructuring and litigation costs. The case study for this work can be found here.
Steve Woods, Managing Director (Acting) says about Roots HR:
“I joined My Time in October 2013 having come from a background of working at a strategic level in the Social Housing & Support sector. It didn’t take me long to see how effective and helpful Roots HR can be. I would recommend Roots HR to any organisation, large or small, they are responsive and helpful at all times. Perhaps more importantly, they seem to somehow know and understand your business and the way that your business thinks. This takes some doing as we all run our organisations in a slightly different way.
Understanding and supporting the ethos of the organisation is one of the strengths that Roots HR provide over and above the day-to-day HR advice that you can get from a variety of consultants”.
Jan Golding, Chief Executive of Roots HR says:
“My Time have been an ambitious and exciting client for us to work with and we have very much enjoyed watching their growth and organisational development whilst providing services and support to them. They are an inspirational example of what social enterprise can achieve. We are very grateful for the business offered to us by My Time CIC and whilst we are sad they have left us, we appreciate having been part of their journey and look forward to keeping in touch and to hearing about their achievements within the Richmond Fellowship family”.
