Staff Update
We thought it was time you met Deirdre Myers, Chartered FCIPD who some of you will know as the voice on the phone on the days when Louise and I are out of the office.
Deirdre has worked with us as a lead consultant for over 18 months, running her own HR consultancy separately as well but she is not one for having her picture taken, hence the lack of a previous introduction.
Her civil society experience includes several assignments for the National Farmers Union and over 20 years as a school and college governor but with Roots HR she has successfully supported people management projects for clients such as Real Ideas Organisation, BASW the College of Social Work and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Deirdre lives in Worcester and heads up the Independent HR Practitioners Group within Herefordshire and Worcestershire’s CIPD branch.
We would also like you to meet Laura Hodge, a year 2 Psychology student at Bath Spa university is working with us as a summer intern, providing administrative support to our consultants.
Laura has already been able to use her research skills to add value in salary benchmarking exercises and is currently putting together some client surveys which will be out on your email over the next few weeks. She is proving excellent at procurement (also known as shopping!) and keeping us organised.
