Social Enterprise Awards
Just in case you haven’t already heard...(!) Roots HR were shortlisted for two categories at the Social Enterprise Awards that took place at the O2 Arena in London in April 2011. The first nomination was for Social Enterprise Start-Up of the Year and the second was for Social Enterprise Mark Holder of the Year.
Sadly we didn’t win either but the judges were full of praise for our work and we attended a marvellous evening hosted by Alexander Armstrong (of Armstrong and Miller on the telly) and addressed by Ed Milliband. Organised by the Social Enterprise Coalition, the UK’s national body for social enterprise, the awards recognise the achievements of the company as a commercial business with social purposes at its heart.
