The first social enterprise for human resources services in the UK
NEW company Roots HR officially launches today, following successful registration as a community interest company in January. Based in Worcestershire, the company provides human resources services on a not-for-profit basis to third sector organizations and is the first and only specialist provider of HR services on a not-for-profit basis in the UK.
Roots HR is run by Jan Golding, who has a wealth of experience as a chartered human resources practitioner. Having worked in the voluntary sector for the last 5 years and running her own HR company since 2007, Golding recognised that the human resource needs of voluntary and charity sector organizations were not being served on a not-for-profit basis. Roots HR was established to demonstrate a commitment to great people management, without the commercial pre-occupation with profit.
Working closely with the voluntary sector, Roots HR will advise on and deliver projects around all issues relating to employment law and people management.
"The company vision is based on offering excellent yet affordable HR services to third sector organizations, regardless of their size," says Golding. "I am excited by the challenges ahead and am looking forward to establishing Roots HR as a leading company in its field."
