Successful launch at Roots HR creates jobs for HR Practitioners
Following a very successful launch on 2nd March ’09, Roots HR cic has recruited a talent bank of Emerging and Lead Consultants, HR Administrators and general Administration staff.
"We use a very tough selection process" said founder Jan Golding. Potential candidates have to evidence their suitability for the role against the essential criteria through returning a checklist. Only then are those that meet the highest standards invited to go forward to the application stage, which involves, amongst other things, a test in which we look for some very specific criteria."
Roots HR used its database of clients, HR professionals and other contacts to promote the opportunities, plus Charityjobs.com and the Job Centre. The organisation received 105 requests for application packs and 25 returned the emerging consultant checklist. Of these, 15 met the very high standard to go forward to the application stage and 8 of these were finally accepted. "We have found 6 Emerging Consultants, 1 Lead Consultant and 1 HR Administrator," said Jan, and one or two more applications are still being processed.
Emerging Consultants and HR Administrators support Lead Consultants in project delivery and the provision of employment law advice by creating documents and tools tailored to the needs of the client and the individual project. We have been delighted by the calibre of response and the consultants that we have been able to attract and look forward to working with them. We hope that our Emerging Consultants will stay with us after they gain experience and go on to become Lead Consultants in time."
Roots HR will be recruiting again in the future so keep an eye on the Working with Us page on the website.
